John Benson, PMHNP-BC

Are you struggling with irritability, anxiety, ADHD, depression, low mood, OCD, poor focus, substance use, or lack of motivation that is impairing your relationships, your career, or your overall quality of life? Have you perhaps tried therapy, but found that your problems persisted? Have you tried medications, but found that psychiatric appointments were too impersonal or that your concerns about possible side effects or worsening symptoms were met with indifference?
I believe primarily in a listening-oriented approach to care, as well as incorporating your preferences into our treatment plan as much as possible. I provide mental health services online via telemedicine to Portland, Oregon as well as surrounding areas like Salem, Corvallis, Eugene, and Bend.
I provide patient-focused mental health care. Treatment plans may include medications, nutritional supplements, sleep pattern modifications, referrals to talk therapists or treatment centers, and more. I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and more.
I offer a free ten-minute initial phone consultation to determine if we are a good fit for each other. I strive to provide a warm, affirming environment to clients ages 13 to 65. Contacting me with questions is easy and can be done via my online patient portal.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, watching movies, and spending time with my fiancee and our mischievous ten-pound poodle.
